UniFi Accesspoint wont join controller.

I attempted to join my recently Factory Reset UniFi AC Pro Lite, but it got stuck in a forever loop of “adopting” and then “disconnecting”. After like 30 minutes i started fiddling with settings and found that in the Unifi Controller UI, if you select Settings (bottom left) -> Controller, you can input the ” Controller Hostname/IP”, this had a default hostname in it, changing this to the ip-address of the controller instantly provisioned the accesspoint.
